1. During Nov 23 to Nov 25, 2004, Center of Forensic Sciences held the First DNA Evidence Workshop in Beijing. We invited seven international experts from the United States, England, Australia and New Zealand including the famous detective Dr. Henry Lee.
2.On Dec.28, 2004, the Director of Center forwardly submitted the application for the rescue of the tsunami. On Dec.30, the application was approved. And five experts from the center participated in the Thai tsunami victim identification.
3.In the meeting held by 5 ministries on 11th January, 2005, Premier Wen Jiabao highly appraised our work!
4.On May 4, 2005, Dr. Deng, the Director of center was awarded the highest medal of Chinese youth.
5.On July 1, 2005, we submitted more than one thousand data of Thai tsunami victims to Thai government. Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Thai Premier Thaksin witnessed the ceremony as the data was passed from Lu Yongxiang, president of Chinese Academy of Sciences, to Thai government.
6.At the night of July 1, 2005, Thai Premier Thaksin interviewed Deng Yajun in the Great Hall of the People.
7.On July 11, 2005, we started to establish the Criminal DNA Database of Qinghai Province.
8.On Nov 11, 2005, we finished the criminal DNA database of Qinghai Province.
9.On Dec 16, 2005, Deng Yajun was awarded the seventh “Beijing top Ten Outstanding Youth”.
10.On Dec 30, 2005, Center was titled another honor “Youth Civilization center”.
11.On Apr 16, 2006, expert from the center test DNA for suspicious Pengjia Mu body in Lop Nur.
